About Kelly, the owner of Just Kneady
My name is Kelly Richardson, a 32 year old baker. I grew up on Cape Cod, went to Sandwich High, and spent my early years here before leaving to live in a handful of different cities, eating a lot of different foods along the way. I have been cooking and baking for as long as I can remember, long before it ever became my job.
I found my way into restaurants and hospitality at a young age and quickly fell in love with food and beverage. After nearly a decade in the industry, I worked my way up to managing a wine bar in Beverly Hills, California. The work was fast paced, creative, and deeply connected to people, which is where I thrive.
Along the way, I earned several certifications in food and beverage, including WSET Levels 1 and 2 and Italian Wine Certification through The Wine House in Los Angeles. I am also ServSafe certified in food management and food allergies. Education matters to me, but so does instinct, curiosity, and a genuine love of feeding people well.
When Covid hit, I stepped away from the industry and into a desk job. Five years later, I realized how much I missed working with my hands, being in the kitchen, and creating something tangible and shared.
Just Kneady is my way back. Back to food, back to community, and back home to Cape Cod, where I want to put down deeper roots, one bake at a time.
We opened on July 4th, 2025, with a simple goal: offer everything you knead and nothing you don’t.
